Description
It’s important to moisturise your skin both morning and evening. During the day your face cream will keep your skin protected from outside factors, which can affect dry and pimple-prone skin.
In the evening – after cleansing – a moisturiser will make sure your skin is able to regenerate after the events of the day, this way the healthy moisture balance can be restored, so that the skin barrier is kept healthy. This is why it’s important to use a moisturising face cream both morning and evening.
This is how you use the day cream
Always rinse your skin so that its free from bacteria, dirt and excessive sebum, which is produced during the night. Use a gentle – but efficient – face wash and optionally finish with applying some skin tonic to your face with a cotton pad.
If you use face serum, you apply it, before finishing it off with a protective layer of day cream. A little goes a long way when it comes to the face cream – but you can always add more, if you feel like it. Applying the correct amount of cream will allow it to absorb quickly into the skin, so that you can apply makeup, if that’s something you like to do.
Remember to always protect the skin with SPF – especially if you spend time outside.
You can use the Day Cream both morning and/or evening, due to its protective function during the day, and its nourishing, moisturising function during the night. Repeat the same routine before going to bed, as you do in the morning. If you feel like it, you can double rinse with the face wash, if you’ve used makeup during the day.
Why you should use a day cream
It’s so important that your skin is kept protected and well cared for during both the day and night. Some people avoid using a day cream, because they have a tendency to develop oily skin, but this is not a great idea. Oily skin occurs, because the skin is dry, therefore it compensated for the lack of moisture by producing more sebum. In order to reduce the overproduction of sebum its very important to add moisture and protection to the skin. You can do this with a Day Cream.
Be aware of the fact that there will be an adjustment period for the skin, where it can seem just as oily or perhaps even more oily than before, but this will improve after 4-5 weeks of consistent use of the Day Cream.
Also remember to use the moisturiser as a night cream, so that your skin isn’t robbed of moisture, when you’re sleeping.
Why is the face cream good for dry skin?
The Day Cream is great for dry skin, as it’s made from shea butter and different oils, that benefit dry skin.
Macademia oil and Argan oil contributes with healthy oils and moisture to the skin and leaves it feeling soft and protected.
This makes the face cream perfect to use as a night cream. You can simply apply a thicker layer, than what you would do during the day. This will give your facial skin a good opportunity to regenerate or maintain the healthy moisture balance throughout the night.
Besides the good, nourishing oils – which don’t clogg your pores- the day cream is also based on the bacteria resistant Tea Tree Óil from Australia. Tea Tree Oil keeps the skin healthy and balanced, and amongst other things, helps the skin prevent pimples and blackheads. For this reason, the product is great for all skin types and can provide moisture and glow to a dry skin, as well as minimising pimples and blackheads, if you struggle with breakouts or oily skin.
Can you use the day cream during the night?
Of course you can. In general, you can use face creams whenever you prefer. It’s the ingredients of the cream that benefit your skin, not the time that you apply it. The Day cream won’t be able to tell that you are using it at night, so it will give you the same benefits as it would during the day. The most important thing, is that your skin is receiving the nourishing ingredients that the cream consists of.
You can easily use the Day Cream with Tea Tree Oil both day and night. It will moisturise and protect your skin – no matter what time you choose to apply it.
What products should I combine with the Day Cream?
You should always rinse your face, both morning and evening, so that you remove bacteria and excess sebum. When you rinse your skin, you open up the pores, so that your serum and cream are able to be absorbed deeper into the skin and work its magic.

About Tea Tree Oil
The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The lolacl Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.
The healing benefits of tea trees were not officially registred until 1923. However, the local Aboriginal tribe, Bundjalung, had long understood the protective and healing powers of tea trees and used their crushed leaves to treat various wounds and skin infections. They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
The products from Australian Bodycare contain natural, antiseptic Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia). Tea Tree Oil has been known and used by Australian Aborigines for centuries because of its powerful antiseptic effects. Tea Tree Oil has been added to all Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil products in different concentrations, depending on which skin problem the products is developed to combat and where on the body it is to be used. Our product series is tailored for the entire family: It prevents and treats the most common skin problems—all while staying gentle on the skin.
