Description

Do you experience redness, soreness, and irritation in the intimate area, e.g., during menstruation, or because of menopause or incontinence?

Barrier Cream is an intimate barrier cream that protects the skin against external elements that can create skin irritation, e.g., sweat, moisture and the like.

How do I use the cream?

Barrier Cream is suitable for everyone who wants to protect their intimate area from moisture, intertrigo and friction. Barrier Cream protects the delicate skin from irritation that can lead to redness and soreness. The cream is for both men and women.

1. Wash the intimate area with a soap specifically developed for the delicate skin area. We recommend the pH regulated Intim Wash from Australian Bodycare if you are looking for an effective lather. Apply the soap to wet skin and massage in before rinsing off with water.

2. Apply a thin layer of Barrier Cream to the clean and dry skin. Be careful to apply the cream to all areas that are exposed and might experience friction, redness, and soreness.

3. If necessary, apply a new layer of barrier cream during the day or as needed. Two applications a day is often enough to keep the intimate area protected.

If you have problems with itching, dryness, or unwanted odor, you may want to take a closer look at the intimate treatment kit with 3 intimate care products.

You can easily combine the use of the 3 intimate products, Intim WashFemigel and Femi Daily, with Barrier Cream.

How does the barrier cream work?

The intimate barrier cream has a soothing and protective effect on the delicate skin in the intimate area. Barrier Cream is water-repellent and keeps the skin protected from moisture, sweat and the like. Irritation can occur in connection with menstruation, menopause, or incontinence and cause a red and sore skin - the Barrier Cream eliminates and prevents this.

The cream contains natural Australian Tea Tree Oil, which keeps the skin clean and fresh. Tea Tree Oil is known for counteracting the bacteria that can be the cause of irritation, itching and soreness in the intimate area.

Barrier Cream is dermatologically tested. This ensures that the product is skin-friendly and suitable for all skin types – even a sensitive one.

The barrier cream is pH regulated for intimate use, so you avoid further skin problems such as itching and irritation. Used daily, the cream protects the intimate area from friction, sweat, moisture or other external elements that can cause unwanted odour or intimate discomfort.

How to avoid friction and irritation

We recommend that you wash the intimate area every day using an intimate soap with antibacterial Tea Tree Oil. The oil keeps the skin healthy and clean.

Australian Bodycare intimate barrier cream can be used on skin folds or to protect already damaged skin in the intimate area from further irritation and friction.

If you experience irritated skin or skin folds on the abdomen, under the chest, armpits, between thighs, or on other areas of the body, we recommend Rescue Cream, which is suitable for use on the body.

About Tea Tree Oil

The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The lolacl Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.

The healing benefits of tea trees were not officially registred until 1923. However, the local Aboriginal tribe, Bundjalung, had long understood the protective and healing powers of tea trees and used their crushed leaves to treat various wounds and skin infections. They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.

The products from Australian Bodycare contain natural, antiseptic Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia). Tea Tree Oil has been known and used by Australian Aborigines for centuries because of its powerful antiseptic effects. Tea Tree Oil has been added to all Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil products in different concentrations, depending on which skin problem the products is developed to combat and where on the body it is to be used. Our product series is tailored for the entire family: It prevents and treats the most common skin problems—all while staying gentle on the skin.
