Our customers love us
If you often experience after shaving redness, red bumps, ingrown hairs or aftershave pimples, you know how much it can affect your confidence.
By using the right intimate products, you can ensure clean and problem-free skin on the most intimate parts of your body and minimise razor bumps, itching or other irritation.
A nice, smooth shave starts with clean, bacteria-free skin. Australian Bodycare Intim Wash washes the skin completely clean, ensuring a neat result after shaving and hair removal.
How do I use Intim Wash?
Intim Wash can help prevent red razor bumps, ingrown hair, aftershave pimples or other intimate irritation caused by shaving or hair removal.
To ensure a neat and beautiful result with your intimate shave, we recommend that you use the 3 products in the Intimate Shave Pack.
1) Wash the intimate area thoroughly with Intim Wash before shaving to counteract the bacteria that cause red bumps and ingrown hairs. Lather up and massage into wet skin, then rinse thoroughly.
2) Apply a good, clear shaving gel to the area to be shaved - we recommend Intim Shave. Leave the product on the skin for 1 minute before using the razor. Rinse off excess product, loose hairs and impurities thoroughly when you're done shaving.
3) Finish your shave by applying the healing and soothing Intim Balm. Pat dry with a towel and apply. Intim Balm does not need to be washed off again.
Intimate Wash is pH-regulated for intimate use - just like our other intimate products - so you can safely use the product daily without worrying about skin problems, itching and irritation. The product prevents redness, irritation and skin discomfort associated with shaving along with our other intimate shaving products.
More about the product
It's never nice to show off to your partner if red razor bumps, pimples or other intimate blemishes take centre stage. It can also be very uncomfortable to walk around with ingrown hairs and red bumps in your intimate area or bikini line, as they can be itchy, wet and a nuisance in your everyday life.
Before each shave, it is therefore important to remove as many bacteria and impurities as possible from the area to be shaved. This will reduce the risk of bacterial discomfort after shaving.
Here, the natural Tea Tree Oil, Lactic Acid and Persimmon content of Australian Bodycare Intimate Wash helps give you extra protection against bacteria. The intimate soap also refreshes and cleanses the skin in the intimate zone.
Tea Tree Oil soothes and relieves redness and irritation of the skin, while the high content of natural vitamin C in persimmon plum strengthens your skin's natural defenses, making it more resistant to bacteria.
After washing, Australian Tea Tree Oil keeps skin clean and healthy, counteracting the bacteria that sits on the razor or is otherwise introduced to the intimate area during shaving. For the best results from your intimate shave, we recommend using the 3 products in the Intimate Shave Pack together.
We particularly recommend Intim Wash, Intim Shave and Intim Balm for those who struggle with:
- Intimate itching and irritation
- Red razor bumps
- Ingrown hairs
- Intimate discomfort
- Aftershave pimples

About Tea Tree Oil
The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The lolacl Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.
The healing benefits of tea trees were not officially registred until 1923. However, the local Aboriginal tribe, Bundjalung, had long understood the protective and healing powers of tea trees and used their crushed leaves to treat various wounds and skin infections. They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
The products from Australian Bodycare contain natural, antiseptic Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia). Tea Tree Oil has been known and used by Australian Aborigines for centuries because of its powerful antiseptic effects. Tea Tree Oil has been added to all Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil products in different concentrations, depending on which skin problem the products is developed to combat and where on the body it is to be used. Our product series is tailored for the entire family: It prevents and treats the most common skin problems—all while staying gentle on the skin.

How to choose a variant
A complete guide
Which alternative should I choose?
All our products contain Tea Tree Oil, an active antibacterial ingredient which has been cultivated and used in Australia for centuries.
Many of our products are also available in a quite unique combination of 100% natural Tea Tree Oil + Mint or Tea Tree Oil + Lemon Myrtle.
Why should I choose Tea Tree Oil + Mint?
Mint has always been a popular ingredient in skin care, and its use can be traced right back to ancient Egypt and the Roman Empire.
Its special cooling and soothing properties make mint an ideal ingredient in our problem-solving skin care too.
Among other things, mint is rich in vitamins A and C, which are important for a healthy skin and scalp.
It is also mint that gives these product varieties their clean, comforting scent.
Why should I choose Tea Tree Oil + Lemon Myrtle?
Lemon Myrtle is an antibacterial ingredient and a highly effective moisturiser, which is important for attractive skin and a healthy scalp.
Among othert hings vitamin C content is high in Lemon Myrtle, which stimulates and strengthens the skin and hair, ensuring a fine, healthy glow.
