If you suffer from sore and bleeding gums, redness and plaque or other gum problems, you can alleviate your discomfort by choosing good oral care products.
Mouthwash with 0.12% Chlorhexidine and natural Tea Tree Oil can be a great addition to your daily brushing and oral care regime if you experience sore gums and red gums. You can also manage the symptoms of gingivitis and periodontal disease on a daily basis with Chlorhexidine mouthwash.
How do I use the mouthwash?
You should rinse with Chlorhexidine mouthwash 2-3 times during the day for optimal effect. If you have problems with bad breath, you can use the mouthwash after lunch to remove food debris and bacteria.
The mouthwash is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.
Simply rinse and gargle about 20 ml of liquid in your mouth for about 1 minute, then spit it out. You should wait 1-2 hours after use before consuming food and drinks. This is because the effect of Chlorhexidine may be reduced by contact with certain foods or liquids. Therefore, wait as long as possible before eating or drinking to maximise the benefits of the mouthwash. It is also important that you do not use Chlorhexidine mouthwash within an hour after or before brushing your teeth, as toothpaste (without Chlorhexidine) can reduce the effect of Chlorhexidine.
It varies how often and for how long you should use Chlorhexidine mouthwash to relieve your discomfort. Some people need to use the product 2-3 times a day for up to 3 weeks before they experience an effect. Others only use the product as needed when they feel sore gums or if they experience blisters or similar in their mouth. It will therefore be very individual how often and for how long the product should be used.
It is recommended to stop using Chlorhexidine products after 2-3 weeks (with daily use). This is because Chlorhexidine can cause temporary tooth discolouration and taste disturbances with prolonged use. This will quickly disappear when you stop using products containing Chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine products are therefore recommended as a treatment for a limited period of time.
You can combine the use of Chlorhexidine mouthwash with the other Tea Tree Oil mouth care products for the daily care and cleaning of teeth, tongue and gums.
The mouthwash and the other oral products can be used by adults and children from 12 years of age.
Why should I use mouthwash with Tea Tree Oil and Chlorhexidine?
Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic liquid that counteracts the bacteria that can cause gum problems, such as inflammation, redness and soreness.
In addition, chlorhexidine is proven effective against plaque, which can help reduce the risk of developing cavities. However, it's important to emphasise that mouthwash with chlorhexidine is not a substitute for daily tooth brushing, but rather a supplement to daily and necessary oral care.
Tea Tree Oil is nature's secret weapon against skin problems on the body, face, scalp and mouth. That's why you'll also find the ingredient in the mouthwash with Chlorhexidine. Tea Tree Oil provides soothing properties for sore and red gums and is also effective in the fight against bad breath and a metallic taste in the mouth.
Mouthwash with Chlorhexidine and Tea Tree Oil can be used for the daily care and relief of irritation caused by gingivitis, periodontal disease, thrush in the mouth or on the tongue.
We always recommend that you consult your dentist or dental hygienist if you experience recurring oral problems or if you are affected by oral disease. The product can supplement your dentist's treatment, but you should always follow their instructions.
Why mouthwash can be a great supplement
While mouthwash can't replace daily brushing of teeth, it can help you brush your teeth:
- To clean and refresh the mouth, teeth and tongue
- Protecting teeth against plaque and caries
- Relieve blisters, red gums and soreness
- Minimise bacteria and bad breath
- Keeping your mouth fresh and clean
Immediately after using the mouthwash, you'll notice how clean and cleansed your mouth, teeth and gums feel. This is partly due to the natural Tea Tree Oil content, which is known to counteract the bacteria that can cause various skin problems and mouth irritation.
The mouthwash with Chlorhexidine and Tea Tree Oil is suitable for daily use. However, be aware that temporary discolouration of teeth may occur with prolonged use. This will disappear again when use is stopped or can be removed with a dental cleaning by your dentist.
After 2-3 weeks of using Chlorhexidine mouthwash, you can maintain good oral hygiene by continuing daily rinsing with the Tea Tree Oil mouthwash.
