Primer for use before makeup

If you can recognise it:

- That your makeup applies unevenly and clumps
- Dry skin and wrinkles are clearly visible through your makeup
- Redness, irritated and dry skin is never properly covered by your foundation

Then you should read on as we guide you on which makeup primer you should choose so that your skin appears nice, smooth and moisturised.

What is a primer?

A primer is a cream that is applied to the skin before applying makeup. A makeup primer ensures that your skin is uniform, even and smooth before you apply your foundation and powder. This ensures a better result as it ensures that the makeup applies more evenly.

At the same time, a primer forms a thin film on your skin before applying makeup, giving you a matte and natural look and avoiding shiny, oily-looking skin - even during the day.

Why should I use a primer?

A primer is a good choice if you struggle to apply makeup evenly and evenly. Skin Care primer from Australian Bodycare is designed for all skin types, but is especially good for dry skin, as in addition to smoothing properties, it also provides moisturising and soothing ingredients for dry and irritated skin.

However, you can also benefit from the primer if you are prone to redness or oily skin. The makeup primer soothes redness and irritation, while contributing to a more matte finish if you tend to have oily skin on your face or in the T-zone.

If your skin is more mature and you have problems with your makeup settling into wrinkles and fine lines, a primer can also be your saviour. It has a smoothing effect on the skin, minimising the visibility of signs of ageing, such as wrinkles. This ensures a nicer and more even result with your makeup.

How to use makeup primer

For best results with your primer, apply it on cleansed and moisturised skin. Cleanse your skin with a facial cleanser and tonic both morning and evening and also make sure to use a good face cream to keep your skin moisturised and protected.

Apply primer to your skin after cleansing and moisturising, but before applying makeup. Apply a thin layer all over your face before applying foundation, concealer and powder.

The makeup primer can also be used as a highlighter for cheekbones and under brows. Squeeze out a small amount and gently dab onto cheekbones, under brows and possibly the tip of the nose. It gives a nice glow and creates "life" in the facial skin.

Skin Care primer from Australian Bodycare is designed for all skin types, but is especially good if you have dry or flaky skin. Skin Care makeup primer calms the skin and helps you to apply beautiful makeup that lasts all day and hides everything from dry skin to redness, shiny skin and fine lines.

The primer from Australian Bodycare is enriched with natural Tea Tree Oil, which has soothing properties and therefore works well for skin that is dry, irritated or prone to redness. At the same time, the Australian oil is known to keep the skin healthy and in natural balance, so it looks good all day long.

Healing Ground Mobile
The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The local Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites. The healing benefits of tea trees were not officially registred until 1923. However, the local Aboriginal tribe, Bundjalung, had long understood the protective and healing powers of tea trees and used their crushed leaves to treat various wounds and skin infections. They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
