Description
Do you remember to soothe and moisturize your skin after shaving?
It is important that the skin is nourished and protected after hair removal to reduce the risk of red spots, razor burn, and ingrown hair.
We especially recommend After Shave if you have problems with:
- Itching and redness
- Red spots on skin
- Rash or razor burn
- Ingrown hair
- Razor bumps
How do I use the product?
To get the best result with the men’s After Shave balm, you should combine it with the antibacterial Shave Gel and cleanse your face thoroughly before shaving.
We recommend that you do this to ensure a clean shave free from red spots and irritation:
Step 1: Wash your face
Before shaving, it is a good idea to wash your face with Face Wash from Australian Bodycare. The Face Wash removes the bacteria that can cause red spots and razor burn. Irritation occurs because bacteria on the skin settle in the open pores after shaving. With a good face cleanser, you can remove them before shaving and avoid red and irritated skin.
Step 2: Shave
Apply a thin layer of shaving gel. We recommend using the transparent Shave Gel from Australian Bodycare to ensure a gentle shave.
Massage the shaving gel into your beard to loosen and lift the beard hair from the skin. This ensures that the product gets under even the smallest stumps to help you achieve a close and smooth shave.
The great advantage of a transparent shaving gel is a clean shave, as the gel does not foam. This allows you to see what you are doing when shaving and prevents painful accidents with the razor.
You can start shaving without further preparation, as you do not have to lather up the gel with your hands or shaving brush before use. However, we recommend that you let Shave Gel rest on the skin for 1 minute before shaving.
Step 3: Soothe and nourish the skin with After Shave
After shaving, dab the skin dry with a clean towel. It is okay if the skin is left a little moist. Apply After Shave on the shaved area in a thin layer. The cream is absorbed quickly and immediately cools and soothes the skin.
If you suffer from dry skin, you can supplement the face balm with Australian Bodycare Face Cream. Face Cream leaves the skin hydrated and healthy.
Why should I use After Shave after shaving?
Everyone shaves to obtain a smooth and clean look. Unfortunately, for many, it often ends up with red, dry, and irritated skin after shaving.
If you dream of a skin completely smooth and free from pimples, blemishes, shaving spots and ingrown hairs, you need to use good products with antibacterial Tea Tree Oil.
You can prevent red spots, razor burns and irritation by using After Shave face balm, which acts as an effective and moisturizing after shave lotion. After Shave contains Tea Tree Oil to prevent bacteria and to ensure a clean and healthy skin.
After Shave can be used after hair removal with either a razor or electric shaver.
Why does After Shave work?
After Shave is uniquely composed of natural assets that nourish the exposed skin after shaving. Shaving can be quite harsh on the skin so after shave care is important.
The light cream relieves irritation, prevents ingrown hair and red bumps, and adds moisture and nourishment to the skin.
After Shave contains i.e., the antibacterial Tea Tree Oil. To avoid tedious red bumps and ingrown hair, a bacteria-free skin is important before shaving. When you shave, you make the skin extra susceptible to external bacteria. At the same time, bacteria from the shaver or the razor can settle on the exposed skin and result in blemishes.
Tea Tree Oil is a natural oil that has antibacterial properties and helps to prevent the unwanted bacteria on the skin. Tea Tree Oil forms a protective layer on the skin so that bacteria are prevented from settling in the exposed skin after hair removal. After Shave therefore also has a preventive effect against red bumps, razor burn, and blemishes.
What assets does After Shave contain?
Shaving is hard on the skin. After Shave soothes and cools the skin and helps to avoid skin irritation after hair removal.
After Shave contains Tasmanian Pepperberry known for its great properties against redness and skin irritation - for example after shaving.
The balm also contains Allantoin, which soothes the skin that is often left damaged and irritated after hair removal.
The cream leaves the face soft and strengthens the skin making it more resistant for the next shave.
After Shave is stuffed with good and natural ingredients, which are carefully selected to help you achieve a clean and smooth shave - every time. The product can be used daily and does not contain parabens or other endocrine disruptors.

About Tea Tree Oil
The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The lolacl Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.
The healing benefits of tea trees were not officially registred until 1923. However, the local Aboriginal tribe, Bundjalung, had long understood the protective and healing powers of tea trees and used their crushed leaves to treat various wounds and skin infections. They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
The products from Australian Bodycare contain natural, antiseptic Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia). Tea Tree Oil has been known and used by Australian Aborigines for centuries because of its powerful antiseptic effects. Tea Tree Oil has been added to all Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil products in different concentrations, depending on which skin problem the products is developed to combat and where on the body it is to be used. Our product series is tailored for the entire family: It prevents and treats the most common skin problems—all while staying gentle on the skin.
