Description
Do you have problems with red spots on your skin after shaving? Then Shave Gel from Australian Bodycare might be just what you are looking for.
Shaving can be harsh on the skin. This is partly due to the bacteria that settles in the open skin pores after shaving. The bacteria can cause rash and red spots as well as ingrown hair.
It is therefore a good idea to choose shaving products with antibacterial Tea Tree Oil. We especially recommend the Shave Gel if you suffer from:
- Ingrown hair and beard rash
- Razor burn and redness
- Red spots on skin
How do I use Shave Gel?
To get the best result with your shaving, we recommend that you use the Shave Gel for hair removal and nourish the skin afterwards with the After Shave from Australian Bodycare.
Use the products like this for a clean and smooth shave:
1. Before shaving, wash your face and neck thoroughly. Use a facial cleanser with antibacterial Tea Tree Oil - we recommend Australian Bodycare Face Wash.
After a thorough cleanse of your face, rinse off excess product and pat dry with a clean towel. The skin should be slightly damp - but not wet.
2. Apply a thin layer of Australian Bodycare Shave Gel and leave it to work for approximately 1 minute before shaving. This will give the product time to work before the razor meets the skin. A small amount of product goes a long way, so you only need to use a little.
Shave in the direction of hair growth for a close but gentle shave. Shave Gel is a clear shaving gel that allows you to see what you are doing during shaving. This helps you avoid accidents with the razor blade.
3. When you are completely done with the shaving, wash excess Shave Gel and hair residue off your face with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry with a clean towel.
4. Finish off by applying the Australian Bodycare After Shave on the shaved area. After Shave immediately cools and soothes the skin, so that any minor damage after shaving does not develop into red bumps, pimples, or other blemishes. After Shave acts as a balm or face cream and should therefore not be rinsed off.
Who can use Shave Gel?
Shave Gel is especially developed for the facial skin when you need to shave your beard or other facial hair.
However, Shave Gel can also be used anywhere else on the body where you need to shave, e.g., legs and arms. Shave Gel is suitable for both women and men who want a nice and smooth shave free from red spots and ingrown hairs.
The transparent shaving gel is dermatologically tested and suitable for all skin types - even if you have sensitive skin.
If you use Shave Gel on legs, arms or elsewhere on the body, we recommend that you nourish and care for the skin afterwards with the soothing aftershave lotion Body Balm.
Why is Shave Gel with Tea Tree Oil good for ingrown hair and red spots after shaving?
When you shave, you want a nice and smooth result, so that the facial skin looks and feels good.
Shave Gel with Tea Tree Oil effectively removes bacteria and protects the skin so that dirt and bacteria do not penetrate the pores during shaving.
We also recommend that you wash your face prior to shaving. We recommend using the Australian Bodycare Face Wash before shaving to ensure a completely clean and bacteria-free skin.
After shaving, we recommend protecting the exposed skin with Australian Bodycare After Shave. The aftershave balm effectively reduces the risk of skin problems after your shave or hair removal.
Why is the transparent shaving gel a good choice?
In addition to the antibacterial effect, our Shave Gel also has several other benefits. E.g., it is completely transparent and therefore minimizes the risk of painful accidents during shaving.
Shave Gel forms an antibacterial layer on the skin, so the razor slides easily during shaving and thereby minimizes the possible irritation of the skin.
At the same time, the shave gel is easy to use, and a little amount of product goes a long way. You only need to apply a thin layer before shaving. Apply the shaving gel to damp skin and allow it to sit for a minute before you start shaving. It prepares the skin and hair for the shave and lets the razor slide more easily. This reduces the risk of ingrown hair and red spots.

About Tea Tree Oil
The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The lolacl Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.
The healing benefits of tea trees were not officially registred until 1923. However, the local Aboriginal tribe, Bundjalung, had long understood the protective and healing powers of tea trees and used their crushed leaves to treat various wounds and skin infections. They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
The products from Australian Bodycare contain natural, antiseptic Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia). Tea Tree Oil has been known and used by Australian Aborigines for centuries because of its powerful antiseptic effects. Tea Tree Oil has been added to all Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil products in different concentrations, depending on which skin problem the products is developed to combat and where on the body it is to be used. Our product series is tailored for the entire family: It prevents and treats the most common skin problems—all while staying gentle on the skin.
